We have a vacancy within our Facilities and Maintenance Department and are currently recruiting for the role of Facilities and Maintenance Technician on the Day Shift. We are looking for candidates who have relevant and proven experience seeking an opportunity to develop their skills and join a growing Organisation.



Shift Pattern:

39 hours per week, working 07.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday and 07.30 to 12.30 Fridays with designated breaks.

Role Accountabilities:




Key Responsibilities

Administration of all Facilities and Maintenance activities Administration of on-site security procedures and systems are fit for purpose and developed appropriately to manage emerging risks Support the EHS Team where required

Create and sustain the standards for Site Maintenance & Facilities




Sustain a plan for maintenance and servicing of all machinery and systems affecting the site and its facilities, including the external areas (car park/yard)


Manage arrangements with suppliers of machinery/equipment & contractors who provide services to the facilities


Coordinate emergency break down and recovery plans and procedures relating to critical equipment and systems, such as alarm systems and production equipment


Maintain a site Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) plan


Support site equipment installations, relocations and decommissions in line with EHS requirements


Coordinate and review contractor and supplier risk assessments & method statements along with carrying out Inductions and permits to work as required


Work with Purchasing to arrange quotes and purchase orders required to facilitate works by suppliers & contractors


Support any actions raised from internal or external audits


Support the application of the site Company vehicle policy including vehicle maintenance plans


Provide training & support for the Labourer and General Hand

Security




Support an effective security strategy at site level


Ensure on-site security procedures and systems are fit for purpose and developed appropriately to manage emerging risks


Support control methods for keyholders including audit and maintenance of the procedures

Environmental, Health & Safety Responsibilities




Support the EHS Team to ensure the site meets all statutory and regulatory obligations


Support the emergency provision, preparedness and procedures (Business Continuity Plan)


Establish and maintain provision for lock out and tag out


Assist as required in any Accident and near miss investigations and internal reporting


Managing subcontractors including permit to work, SSOW, risk assessments etc


Support the Company Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) programme


Support the site 'Job Safety Observations' (JSO) programme


Perform all duties in compliance with related legal/statutory regulations, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations


Effective application of the "Accrofab EHS Principles" to create a safe, healthy place of work, and a culture which promotes adherence to these

General & Compliance




Operate in line with AS9100, ISO45001, ISO14001 and any customer specific requirements


Maintaining and reporting against facilities and maintenance key performance indicators to identify problems and develop solutions


Effective application of the "Accrofab Operating System" for facilities and maintenance


Participating in "Lean Events" to improve any aspect of performance associated with facilities and maintenance

Person Specification:



Preferably2 years experience in a similar role. IOSH (or equivalent) Has a keen eye for detail Demonstrates good teamwork, but should also be capable of working individually Is self-driven with a positive outlook Has good communication skills Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards (desirable not essential)*
