Role Overview
We are looking to appoint a Facilities & Maintenance Technician to take responsibility for the general maintenance and upkeep of our four warehouse sites and associated office spaces, while also providing basic off-site sign fitting support when required.
This is a hands-on, practical role suited to an experienced all-rounder who can identify issues, carry out minor repairs, and determine when specialist contractors are required. The role also supports light installation work linked to our signage and print operations.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Carrying out day-to-day maintenance across warehouse and office environments
Undertaking basic electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance tasks
Identifying issues such as water leaks, electrical faults, wear and tear, or structural concerns
Diagnosing problems and determining appropriate corrective action
Completing minor repairs where competent to do so
Liaising with and coordinating approved external contractors when specialist work is required
Monitoring and maintaining building systems and utilities
Ensuring facilities remain safe, clean, and fit for purpose
Conducting routine checks and preventative maintenance
Supporting health and safety compliance across all sites
Maintaining records of maintenance work and contractor activity
Providing maintenance support across up to four company sites, travelling between locations as required
Carrying out basic off-site sign fitting and installation, including mounting, fixing, and minor adjustments
Ensuring sign fitting work is completed safely and in line with company and site-specific health and safety requirements
Undertaking any other reasonable duties in line with the role
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Essential:
Proven experience in a general maintenance, facilities, or building services role
Strong practical knowledge of basic electrics, plumbing, and general building maintenance
Ability to identify faults, assess root causes, and recommend solutions
Hands-on, problem-solving approach
Full, clean UK driving licence
Physically fit and able to carry out manual and installation tasks
Good organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage own workload
Desirable:
Experience in basic sign fitting, installation, or similar practical site work
Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
Experience supporting multi-site operations
Health & Safety or facilities compliance experience

Probationary Period
All appointments are subject to a probationary period of between 3 and 6 months. During this time, performance, reliability, and suitability for the role will be regularly reviewed.
