We are looking for a Facilities Operator to join our manufacturing team at Crewkerne.
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the general cleaning and upkeep of all site facilities as well as managing the running of the staff shop.
This role is 4 on 4 off working 10.5 hour days.
Key Responsibilities include: Assist in maintaining a safe working environment
Ensure that only the best practices are employed
Issue PPE & consumables as required for co-owners or visitors and carry out stock take of PPE & consumables
To be aware of company H&S policies and processes and that guidelines are followed and challenged as necessary
All H&S Issues are raised promptly and effectively (report direct to manager)
Adhere to C.O.S.H.H regulations at all times
Ensure department housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained
Storage of productions in line with C.O.S.H.H regulations
Daily and weekly temperature checks on fridges and freezers
Carry out cleaning of facilities areas
Manage staff shop, order new stock, re-stock fridges and dispose of out of date products (if trained and tasked to do this)
Communicate clearly, effectively and efficiently
Ensure all equipment and materials are safe and effective for the job required, before, during and on completion of use
Highlight/ report all breakdowns, problems, safety issues, shortcomings associated with equipment or materials that you use or see others using.
Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum
