We are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Facilities Operative / Handy Person to support the day-to-day running of a modern office space in Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing routine facilities checks, carrying out basic maintenance tasks, and ensuring the workplace is safe, well-maintained, and fully stocked.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete monthly and quarterly facilities checklists
Perform monthly temperature and emergency light checks (training provided)
Escalate and report faults or issues promptly
Carry out minor repairs and touch-up painting as required
Keep meeting rooms and office areas tidy, especially around cabling
Restock snacks, drinks, and printer/photocopier supplies (paper and toner)
Attend weekly remote check-in with the Facilities team
Use Outlook and Excel to update checklists and communicate
Support with ad hoc facilities duties as required by the site team
Maintain a professional, customer-facing approach at all times
Requirements:
Previous experience in a handy person or facilities support role
Ability to work independently and manage own workload
Computer Skills (Outlook, Excel )
Reliable and flexible, with good spoken and written English
Ability to commit to set days (Monday & Wednesday); flexibility to cover holiday/sickness preferred
Additional Information:
The successful candidate will work closely with the Facilities Receptionist and Office Manager to ensure the smooth running of the site
