Works are to include those that do not require a specialist contractor, can be completed safely and securely, protecting centre, property and people, meeting the high standards and specification set by the company. To react with an immediate and appropriate response to
maintenance repairs and to ensure that Health, Safety and security standards are delivered and maintained.

Main Duties:
Ensure the up-keep, monitoring and maintenance of all plant, mechanical and electrical systems
Assist in the appointment of contractors to service items of plant and provide technical information/site knowledge where required
Ensure safe working practices are maintained with contractors on site at all times
Ensure the up-keep, monitoring and maintenance of all plant, mechanical and electrical systems
Carry out sprinkler system and stand-by generator tests in accordance with set procedures
Advise security staff of changes/updates to site systems (fire panel, sprinklers) and ensure recordkeeping is up to date
Maintain security access systems by liaising with the security team, where required
To complete weekly / monthly Legionella testing
Carry out weekly fire alarm testing
Carry out weekly sprinkler testing
To be available for emergency call out
Investigate fire alerts in the centre and monitor life safety systems
Maintain records for various systems such as Legionella monitoring, water systems, utilities/CRC data etc
Liaise with contractors, managing/landlord agents, insurance surveyors or any other stakeholders, where required
Respond to plant alarm activations outside normal working hours, where required
To carry out a daily inspection of entrances, mall interior, streets, car parks, service roads/areas and public access areas back of house and to carry out flagstone, defect and small maintenance repairs
To keep a small stock of replacement supplies, tools and equipment ensuring that they are kept safe and secure
Report and check hazards and procedures on health and safety and Fire Regulations
To conduct a weekly visual audit of lighting schemes and lamp replacement as necessary
Undertake removal of small furniture items, example cupboards, filing cabinets and meeting room furniture and dispose of safely
Provide management with risk assessments
Ensure risk assessments are reviewed, understood and relevant to the task being undertaken
To undertake other miscellaneous duties relating to general service, as requested by management
To assist the Maintenance Engineer in the daily upkeep and smooth running of essential systems within the Shopping centre specifically for the Landlords area's
To be responsible for window cleaning
Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
Working as part of a diverse team and supporting each other to achieve results
Work experience in a busy public environment
Experience of using maintenance, security and car park systems
Physically fit and able to be fully mobile during working times, able to lift and move loads
To respond rapidly to immediate repairs
Experience of plumbing
Experience of high-level works/using MEWP
To have full clean driving licence
MEWP/PAF certification
