Job Description

Satys Air Livery UK Ltd, part of the Satys Group, is an established aircraft refinishing company, with operations across the UK and overseas.

At our Norwich Airport facility, we require a Facilities Operative. The role of the Facilities Operative is to support the Facility Maintenance Manager to ensure the smooth running and upkeep of the facility.

Normal hours of work are 7.00am to 4.00pm (with a total of 60 minutes unpaid breaks). We offer practical on the job training and development opportunities for all of our staff.

Main Responsibilities:



Daily checks eg Forklift, Cherry Picker, Tug etc Maintain and repair tools and equipment Liaison with Facilities manager and QHSE manager regarding RPE and PPE Ongoing Extractor unit maintenance and repair Maintain company vehicles - arrange MOT and servicing Offsite maintenance when required Assisting to plan and deliver new installations Water heating maintenance and repair Utilities company management - meter readings etc Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance Responding to breakdowns Diagnosing faults and repairing equipment Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers in relations to on site equipment, such as obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings Ensure all jobs are in line with agreed budget Managing stocks of supplies and equipment Ability to carry out preventative maintenance as well as emergency on the spot maintainance Perform environmental compliance tasks Work under your own initiative without constant supervision.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience



Essential



Ability to comply with Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 Confident and effective communicator Ability to prioritise own workload and initiative to complete tasks in a timely manner A good understanding of maintenance and DIY skills Clean full Driving Licence Some weekend and out of hours cover may be required

Desirable



Proven technical skills in carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance through experience or qualification Forklift licence Good understanding of PPE/RPE requirements and maintenance.
Maintenance duties include everything from routine upkeep to troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns including but not restricted to electrical systems, plumbing, production machinery and general building maintenance.

Due to the nature of this role, a full clean driving licence is essential. In addition to a forklift licence or the ability to obtain this (certification provided). Full training will be provided for the right applicant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 29,120.00 per year
