Job Description

We are looking for a Facilities Service Assistant to join our dedicated team at Frome Community Hospital. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the Facilities Team Leader, Housekeeper, and other colleagues to deliver high standards of cleanliness and support essential services across the hospital. Duties may include:

  • Cleaning patient areas, bathrooms, offices, and communal spaces in line with National Cleaning Standards and Trust policies.
  • Assisting with catering duties, including preparing and serving meals, following Food Hygiene and HACCP guidelines.
  • Supporting portering tasks such as moving equipment, delivering meals, and transporting items between departments.
  • Maintaining accurate records and completing monitoring sheets.
