We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment and systems within clients facilities, ensuring smooth operations and safety compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical, basic electrical knowledge, basic plumbing knowledge, decorating skills, and supervisory skills to contribute to a dynamic working environment.
Duties
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance at clients sites and building infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, simple electrical, and simple plumbing issues promptly to minimise downtime.
Supervise maintenance teams or contractors during specific projects or repairs.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for colleagues.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Assist in the planning and implementation of facility upgrades or modifications.
Provide excellent customer service to internal departments by addressing maintenance requests efficiently.
Requirements
Strong mechanical knowledge.
Previous experience in maintenance roles within manufacturing or facilities management is preferred.
Good organisational skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising or managing maintenance staff or contractors desired.
Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Relevant qualifications/experience in electrical or mechanical engineering are advantageous but not essential if complemented by practical experience.
