This is a permanent role working 37hrs per week, Monday to Friday.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, building structures, and exterior areas, including plumbing, flooring, lighting, walls, ceilings, and dock drains.
Support the Senior Facilities Engineer and collaborate with the wider site facilities team on day-to-day maintenance tasks and contractor safety management.
Address immediate operational and safety concerns by assessing and resolving reactive maintenance issues efficiently and safely.
Utilize maintenance software and building management systems to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance tasks.
Maintain and operate tools, materials, and vehicles (e.g., fork trucks, golf carts) in safe working condition, ensuring readiness and compliance.
Perform maintenance work in various environmental conditions (e.g., extreme heat, cold, or moisture), ensuring adherence to safety standards.
Assist with supply ordering and inventory management of spare parts and maintenance materials from approved vendors.
Uphold strong housekeeping practices and ensure safe, organized work areas, contributing to a culture of safety and operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Experience working in a facilities role is essential, within an engineering / manufacturing industry would be advantageous
Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems is preferred; ability to learn and apply new technical concepts daily.
Familiarity with facilities project management, financial management, budget control, and software tools such as Microsoft Project; CAD skills are desirable.
Ability to participate in compliance audits and collaborate across departments, with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Team player with strong communication skills and ability to be flexible when needed
