Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Community Facilities Technician to join our team s working in the Rutherglen area. This job will be Saturday and Sunday only 0800 to 1600.

About the Role :

To undertake day-to-day maintenance activities, routine service, fault finding, and repair of building services and equipment.

Duties: -

Open and close school in accordance with required school occupancy times.

Carry out internal and external checks of building and report faults to Help Desk such as damaged tiles, leaks etc.

Carry out non-specialist repairs.

Ensure that PPM tasks are carried out and completed within the timescales.

Ensure all visitors sign in and out of site and to include control of keys.

Ensure Site Induction has been carried out for all contractors and visitors.

Ensure Risk Assessments/Method Statements are reviewed for work being carried out

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Ensure the operation of the school is compliant at all times.

Person Specification

The knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

Essential

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Understand safe working practices and health and safety legislation. Ability to work on their own Well-organised and capable of prioritising own workload. Flexible approach to working as part of a team. Previous experience of working in a maintenance environment.

Desirable

Experience of Facilities/Maintenance Technician.
