Basic rate: 12.21 - After training: 13.50

BACK SHIFT: 15:00 - 23:30 (Monday - Thursday), 14:00 - 21:30 (Friday)

To effectively work as part of the core line team to fulfil assigned line duties, working to the defined standards of quality, following good manufacturing practices and H&S

Job Related Experience, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Good standard of secondary education
Good Standard of English, both verbal and written
Literacy/ Numeracy to National Level 2 Standard
Previous experience within a factory, low tech environment or chemical process industry (desirable)

Job Accountabilities:

Effectively observes H&S rules and procedures.
Reports faults to peers to encourage speedy resolution.
Keeps workplace and equipment clean and tidy.
Carries out minor maintenance tasks on equipment.
Delivers quality and accuracy in own work.
Able to cope under pressure and flex with peaks in personal workload.
Able to act on decisions with the corresponding level of urgency.
To adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and safe systems of work adhering to all safety guidelines.
To take part in EH&S and GMP audits as directed by Area Leaders.
To notify Quality assurance and the Area Leaders of any deviations from the process that will require atypical events and PSRs raised.
To use and wear the appropriate PPE when required to prevent the risk of injury or product contamination
To exercise an appropriate degree of due care and attention when using and handling hazardous materials or chemicals.
To be aware of COSHH requirements and risk assessments for new activities and operations in the area.
To be involved in project teams within the department and to carry out any projects allocated by Area Leaders
To encourage a clean and safe working environment, adopting a Clean as you Go mentality.
Represent the department during any customer visits or audits in a professional manner.
Carry out any work as may be reasonably required by production.
