Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Planning Manager, the Operations Planner will play an important role within the wider Operations department. Working closely with Assembly and Stores, they will be responsible for ensuring all Assembly Builds are accurately scheduled through the relevant departments to meet the customer schedules using our ERP System.

About The Role

Has experience and knowledge of Operations planning in line with planning best practices and governance frameworks. Supports the Operations function by creating, managing and communicating Operations Plans using our ERP system, ensuring customer expectations are aligned with internal plans, with project teams aware of time commitments and stakeholders updated on milestones and deliverables. Highlight any risks to project schedules as early as identified and put mitigation plans in place if necessary. Using own Initiative to spot and problem solve, with the confidence to challenge for resolutions to resolve and issues promptly. Ability to work independently under limited supervision, to manage/own Operation Plans with proactive plan control via regular planning reviews, tracking schedule adherence and acting on any stoppages or slippages to mitigate any impact. Participate in and chair regular Operational meetings. Confidently and effectively provides communication with clarity of any actions required by internal departments to ensure plans are maintained with live data in the ERP system as a one source of truth, with all functions working to the latest information in line with business capacities. Coordinate the timely closure of shop orders with the Ops Management team to ensure finished goods inventory levels are accurate Ability to use Advanced Excel reporting to analyse data and information relative to own project portfolio, to action and/or provide solutions or escalation. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within Operations based on regular process reviews and effective root cause identification and problem solving. Ability to use time management tools to maintain upkeep of daily/weekly/monthly lobby actions, tasks, reports and KPI's. Promote a positive Health and Safety culture within the Factory Operations teams, ensuring the Home Safe Everyday message is at the forefront of everyone in the team.
