About the Role




We have an exciting opportunity for a Faculty Executive Officer to join the Faculty of Arts & Sciences. In this role, you will provide high-quality executive and administrative support to senior leaders and the wider Faculty, helping drive excellence across teaching, research, and enterprise.


You will coordinate and manage a range of administrative services, including organising senior meetings, preparing papers and briefings, handling sensitive information, and acting as a key point of contact for Faculty-level enquiries. Working closely with the Faculty Administration Manager, you will support administrative and financial processes and collaborate with colleagues across the University, ensuring professionalism, accuracy, and quality in everything you do.


Based in the Faculty Office, you will also be a key member of the Secretariat team, delivering a confidential and professional service to the Faculty Executive.

About You




As Faculty Executive Officer, you will:

Be the first point of contact for staff, students, and external partners, providing professional, approachable support. Support senior leaders with meetings, reports, and confidential matters, enabling seamless decision-making. Coordinate research ethics approvals, working with committees to keep processes efficient and compliant. Manage budgets, payments, and financial processes with accuracy and attention to detail. Oversee communications, SharePoint, and newsletters, keeping the Faculty informed and connected. Drive improvements in administrative systems, processes, and services.
