Our Family Department is one of the firm's most well-established and respected teams. We advise on the full spectrum of family law, with expertise in public and private children law, adoption, abduction, family finance, and international matters.



THE ROLE



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Children Law Solicitor to join our Central London office. Reporting to the Head of the Family Department, the successful candidate will have:


Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in childcare and public law children matters is highly desirable. Accreditation as a member of the Law Society's Children Panel (or currently working towards it) is strongly preferred. Strong advocacy and case management skills, with the ability to handle complex and sensitive matters effectively. Experience representing parents, carers, and children (where applicable) in care proceedings. A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A proven ability to manage a varied caseload of public and private law children matters independently. Experience or a demonstrable interest in child abduction and modern family law work is desirable. Confident in case preparation and conducting advocacy where appropriate. A proactive approach to business development, ideally with established connections and referral sources in the local area Experience in cross-border child abduction matters and membership of the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit (ICACU) (desirable). Comprehensive knowledge of Legal Aid regulations and procedures (essential). Strong client care skills and a proactive, collaborative working style.
