Walsall Council is seeking a dynamic and committed
Family Help Team Manager
to lead our Family Help Locality Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive high-quality, child-centred support services and champion best practice in safeguarding and family support.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team delivering integrated support for children, young people, and families.
Ensure safeguarding is at the heart of all interventions and decision-making.
Foster continuous improvement through performance monitoring, training, and development.
Collaborate with partner agencies, schools, health services, police, and voluntary/community organisations.
Efficiently manage resources, budgets, and service delivery targets.
Oversee building management, including health and safety for teams and individuals.
Champion council values, policies, and a customer-focused approach.
What We're Looking For:
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis abilities.
Commitment to empowering children and families, using their strengths to resolve challenges.
Experience in multi-agency partnership working.
In-depth knowledge of Family Help theory and practice, safeguarding legislation, and early intervention.
Experience supervising teams and supporting staff, including co-located partners.
Ability to set service standards and drive high-quality outcomes.
Qualified to degree level in a relevant field or with significant equivalent experience.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
