Conduct direct work with residents to maximize their involvement in improving financial wellbeing outcomes.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other locality providers.
Engage with families to promote healthy lifestyles, financial wellbeing, and cultural/community identity understanding.
Collaborate effectively with the wider Family Hub team and directorate.
Work persistently with residents and other agencies to assess, provide emergency, or coordinate targeted financial support.
Signpost residents to appropriate agencies and activities to enhance life chances and financial outcomes.
Deliver financial wellbeing-based group work in Family Hubs and community settings.
Undertake any other duties commensurate with the grading of the post.
Person Specification
Minimum standard of NVQ 3 in working with individuals or equivalent qualification or experience.
Experience in delivering training or workshops, such as Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS).
Solid experience working directly with individuals in a relevant setting.
Understanding of financial exclusion and its impact on households, and strategies to overcome these effects.
Ability to effectively challenge discriminatory or inappropriate behavior with individuals or agencies.
Understanding and compliance with Safeguarding Procedures for Adults and Children.
Knowledge of key legislation governing children's safeguarding, adult safeguarding, benefits, welfare, and education.
Experience in delivering interventions to individuals within targeted services, including adult and child courses.
Ability to undertake assessments and make appropriate decisions, in line with professional accountability.
Knowledge of mental health, substance misuse, domestic abuse, poverty, and other vulnerabilities impacting families.
Experience using IT for information recording and data gathering, ensuring accurate communication.
Ability to communicate clearly and precisely in the most appropriate way.
Ability to effect change in difficult circumstances and work on own initiative and as part of a team.
Reflective practice skills and ability to resolve conflicts and manage time effectively.
Car driver with permanent use of a car for fulfilling duties.
Flexibility to meet the needs of Staffordshire residents.
