The Post holder will work over two districts of Bromsgrove and Redditch. The post holder will be required to provide and connect with local and diverse community groups, VCSE organisations and services. They will also work with a diverse range of partners to provide support to community groups and VCSE organisations.
This role supports families, children and settings to be aware of the support and services available locally and improve access and provision of the information and advice linked to Family Hub priority areas of focus. Including childcare, early education benefits and nursery education funding, early years provision for children. The role will be expected to support any community capacity building activities linked to targets and priority areas, e.g., awareness raising activity in communities via social media, events or ensuring posters are in relevant areas. The role also consists of looking at data and service user feedback to identify any service gaps in the community. Ensuring professionals and families receive information and advice is a large part of the role and the post holder will do this through displays and contacts with people in various ways, ensuring all relevant websites and social media and that of other agencies are updated with current information. The successful candidate will also be expected to visit local groups, schools, and nurseries to provide support to improve outcomes for children and raise awareness of the Worcestershire Family Hub offer.
