About Pre-Law

Pre-Law is a modern alternative to the traditional law firm. Founded 18 months ago, we have built a strong client base across family, employment and commercial law. We recently moved into a two-floor office in central Lancaster, reflecting our continued growth and long-term commitment to the area.

The Role

We are seeking a Family Law Solicitor to join our team. You will take on an existing caseload with a regular flow of new instructions. For the right candidate, there is a clear pathway to partnership.

This is a strong opportunity to join a growing team at an early stage and play a key role in its development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide clear, practical advice on family law issues including divorce, child arrangements, adoption and financial settlements. Draft and review agreements such as separation agreements, cohabitation agreements, and consent orders. Liaise with clients and other parties to progress matters efficiently. Assist clients with the preparation of court applications and supporting documents. Manage a varied caseload with flexibility to balance office and remote working Maintain an up-to-date understanding of family law and practice developments.

Candidate Requirements

Qualified Solicitor or CILEx professional. Experience in family law preferred, but applications from newly qualified professionals with a strong interest in this area will be considered. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues in plain terms. Experience in managing a diverse caseload. Competent in using IT systems for case management and document preparation.
