We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate or Partner to join our highly successful and friendly Family team in our Exeter office. You will play a key role in supporting and providing expert advice to clients on all elements of family law matters and will have proven expertise in handling high-value and complex matrimonial finance issues, divorce, and prenuptial agreements. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in all things business development whilst having the support of a dedicated and efficient team.

Key Responsibilities





Provide expert legal advice and representation on all aspects of family law, with a focus on high-value and complex matrimonial finance, divorce proceedings, and prenuptial agreements. Manage a personal caseload efficiently and independently, maintaining the highest standards of client care and legal excellence. Lead on complex financial remedy matters, offering strategic, pragmatic advice tailored to the client's circumstances and objectives. Support and mentor junior lawyers, contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment that reflects the firm's values. Engage proactively in business development initiatives, including networking, building client relationships, and promoting the firm's family law expertise across the region. Work closely with marketing and leadership teams to raise the profile of the Family team through events, publications, and community involvement. Maintain a strong working knowledge of evolving family law legislation and case law to ensure the advice given is current and commercially aware. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across other departments (e.g., Private Client, Property, Corporate) to provide joined-up, full-service legal support to clients. Contribute to the growth and strategy of the Family team in Exeter, including input into planning, budgeting, and team development.
