We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our family legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organisational skills, with a solid understanding of legal terminology and procedures. This role is essential in supporting our attorneys by conducting research, preparing legal documents, and managing case files efficiently.
Duties
Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and pleadings.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
Maintain and organise case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases.
Manage schedules and deadlines using Microsoft Outlook to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Utilise Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for document creation and data management.
Assist with trial preparation by compiling evidence and preparing exhibits.
Perform administrative tasks as required to support the legal team.
Experience
Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
Familiarity with IT systems relevant to legal practice is advantageous.
