An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse ,Social Worker or OT to join our Family Safeguarding Service as a Mental Health Practitioner based in Bury.
This is a unique role with feedback from other pilot sites stating 'social workers and adult specialist staff say that it improves engagement and outcomes for families and they wouldn't want to work in any other way' ( DfE published evaluation in 2020)
We are looking for an organised, compassionate, and reflective individual who is passionate about working collaboratively with families to safeguard children.
We are looking for someone who is a skilled mental health practitioner who is eager to take the opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team for the benefit of our families in Bury.
You would provide specialist assessment and interventions for parents of children open to the Family Safeguarding Team who have identified mental health issues which are impacting on their ability to safeguard their children.
The integrated service offers preventative early intervention. The overall aim is to provide families with the right mental health support, at the right time, in the aim of keeping families together when it is safe to do so.
This post is funded on an annual basis, by the Department of Education. In the event that the funding is discontinued, we will support you to find an alternative role in Pennine Care though the re-deployment process.
You will join a team of practitioners to provide high quality safe and effective care for our service users. You will be provided with regular clinical supervision from one of the Clinical Psychologists in the team and there is a strong emphasis on reflective supervision.
