A family of schools is seeking an experienced teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator to join their team. The successful candidate will coordinate a team of professionals, manage the family AFN budget, and support SENCOs across the schools.
The role involves working 2 days per week, with a working pattern of either Tuesday/Wednesday or Wednesday/Thursday.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher to develop their leadership skills.
Main Duties:

To ensure that funding decisions for children with significant SEN are fair, agreed and that the process is transparent.
Supporting the moderation process by visiting all schools at least half termly to see identified children and their provision and needs.
To maintain, review and develop working practices which follow agreed SEN policy and protocols.
To manage the Family AFN budget and HLN process
To keep up to date with and disseminate new initiatives and good practice.
To chair family SENCO meetings.
Attend relevant training / lead relevant training in schools for staff. To liaise with the Family Head Teachers, attending Family of Heads Meetings termly.
To liaise with all school SENCOs within the Family of schools and ensure there are effective transition arrangements between family primaries and secondary. To develop future links with Children's Services, parents (including Parent Evenings) and the local community
