We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team. Duties
Provide direct support to families, assisting with practical needs and emotional guidance.
Contribute to parenting assessments to identify family strengths and areas for development.
Develop and implement tailored support plans in collaboration with families.
Facilitate access to resources and services, including educational, health, and social services.
Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
Work closely with other professionals, including social workers, educators, and healthcare providers.
Organise workshops and group sessions aimed at empowering families with knowledge and skills.
Advocate for families within the community, promoting their rights and access to services.
Experience
Previous experience working with children is essential, demonstrating an understanding of their needs and developmental stages.
Experience in a support or social care role is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with families and professionals alike.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
