Family Support Worker - Empower Families, Celebrate Cultures

We are seeking motivated
Family Support Workers
to deliver
bespoke, flexible support
both at home and within the community. This hands-on role helps families navigate complex challenges, strengthen parenting, and build positive routines that last.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver
tailored family support programmes
within the home or community, meeting agreed outcomes.
Provide flexible support, including
early mornings, evenings, or weekends
when needed.
Promote
safe parenting
, positive routines, and offer appropriate challenge where required.
Coach and guide
parents and caregivers to manage distressing or challenging behaviours.
Advocate
for families, helping them access essential services and community resources.
Work collaboratively with
social workers, multi-agency teams, and courts
to deliver family support plans, including
supervised contact
where appropriate.
Write clear, concise, and
timely reports
following each session.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience supporting families with diverse and complex needs.
Confidence delivering
direct, independent, and compassionate support
in family homes.
Strong understanding of
child development
,
child protection frameworks
, and multi-agency collaboration.
A flexible, responsive approach with the ability to engage families quickly (within 48 hours).
Enhanced DBS
or willingness to apply.
Desirable:
Fluency in other languages, currently:
Yoruba, Romanian, Mandarin,
is highly valued to strengthen communication and cultural understanding.
Irish cultural background
Experience working with
neurodivergent children (ASD/ADHD)
and families from
diverse cultural backgrounds
.
