We are looking for an exceptional individual to join Warwickshire's Migration Team

About the Organisation

Here at Warwickshire County Council, we put children and families at the forefront. We are passionate about supporting communities and families to build on their strengths and relationships and find their own solutions. We work with children and families to build strong connections and help families find long-lasting solutions. Our work contributes to our wider County Council aim - to make Warwickshire the best it can be for everyone.

If you have a genuine interest in humanitarian issues and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of newly arrived communities, we would love to hear from you. This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative, supportive, and high-performing team that is committed to creating positive change across Warwickshire.

Join Warwickshire's Migration Team

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of Warwickshire's dynamic and expanding Migration Team. Over the past 18 months, the team has grown significantly to meet the evolving needs of newly arrived communities across the county. With over eight years of experience delivering the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme, the team has more recently played a pivotal role in responding to the Afghan Humanitarian Crisis--providing comprehensive wraparound support to Afghan evacuees.

In addition to this, the team has developed targeted support for British National (Overseas) visa holders and Ukrainian guests and hosts and has established a dedicated strand of work to support asylum seekers residing in contingency accommodation. This work is underpinned by strong partnerships and a commitment to promoting integration, wellbeing, and access to essential services.

Now is an exciting time to be a part of our team as Warwickshire has been chosen as one of the seven areas to deliver the

Families First for Children Pathfinder Programme

. Join us to help shape and influence the future of children's social care together. Find out why we are good Ofsted.

You will work directly with newly arrived communities to deliver a tailored package of integration support. This will enable individuals and families to access and engage with key services such as employment, healthcare, education, and community networks, supporting their successful integration into local life.

You will provide support and signposting to relevant services, ensuring individuals and families are connected with the appropriate resources to meet their needs and promote successful integration.

You will work collaboratively with a wide range of partners--including SERCO, Housing Services, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), private landlords, healthcare providers, local agencies, community groups, and other professionals--to promote integration and support individuals in leading full and active lives.

The role also involves supporting individuals with a range of needs, including physical and mental health, developing life skills, and accessing services such as ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), education opportunities and employment opportunities (where relevant)

You will support families in navigating local services--such as education, volunteering opportunities, and immigration support--while they are residing in contingency (hotel) or dispersed accommodation. This includes signposting to appropriate resources and ensuring timely and effective connections to the support they need.

You will be responsible for using both internal and external data systems to accurately record, monitor, and evaluate the movement of individuals. This will support the effective coordination of services and promote meaningful engagement with local support networks.
