Are you looking for your first role as a qualified Systemic Family Therapist
Or are you an experienced Systemic Family Therapist therapist looking to work with children and young people?
1 year fixed term contract
In the Oxfordshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services teams we are focused on ensuring young people gain access to the right care in a timely way.
We are launching an initiative for one year to focus on young people and their families who require assessment and treatment from the Getting Help and Getting More help teams. You would be joining a specific team including a mix of mental health professionals to focus on these young people and their families.
The team would have a hybrid working model, combining face-to-face and remote working, with different bases across the Oxfordshire County, including Oxford City, Abingdon and Banbury. Flexibility depending on where you live would be on an individual basis.
We are looking for enthusiastic clinicians to join the team who enjoy working with others, have a flexible approach to delivering treatment and enjoy a challenge. You will have a clear job plan setting out the expectations and will be fully supervised as well as working closely with the rest of the team for support.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to really get involved in the Systemic provision offered within the Oxford North and South Locality. On a day-to-day basis, this will include:
Offering mental health assessment to young people open to CAMHS
hold a caseload of families who require a systemic approach.
Actively support the family therapy clinic, with a reflecting team.
To provide specialist family therapy advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients' formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan.
To plan and implement family therapy treatment or management of a client's mental health problems using evidence based practice.
To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the family.
The team would work closely with the current Multi-Disciplinary Teams including psychiatry, psychology, psychotherapy, social work, mental health nursing and occupational therapy. We are also supported by an admin team, who are well-embedded within the wider team.
You would receive appropriate clinical and management supervision as developing relationships with your new colleagues within the team.
Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust provides physical, mental health and social care for people of all ages across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Bath and North East Somerset.
Our services are delivered at community bases, hospitals, clinics and people's homes, delivering care as close to home as possible
Our vision is that no matter who you are or where you are, you will tell us that you receive: "Outstanding care delivered by an outstanding team"
