Lifestart Family Visitor

The Lifestart Foundation is a charitable body that works to produce better child development outcomes by making available to parents/child care givers evidence-based knowledge and information on how young children, in their first years of life, develop and learn.

The Foundation is seeking to recruit a Family Visitor to work 30 hours a week to deliver Lifestart programmes.

The successful candidate will be based in the Foundation office in Derry/Londonderry but the main focus of the work will be in the Strabane/Omagh/Enniskillen areas.

Salary: 22,932 (30 Hours a week)

LIFESTART FOUNDATION JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Family Visitor

Responsible to: Lifestart Foundation Manager

Reports to: Lifestart Foundation Manager

Status of Post: 30 Hours per week

Salary: 22,932

Allowances: Travel expenses: Mileage and Subsistence

Location: The successful candidate will be based at the Foundation's office in Derry but the main focus of the work will be in the Strabane, Omagh and Enniskillen areas.

Job Summary:

To engage with parents with children who are referred to Lifestart Growing Child Programmeand Home Visiting Service To explain, deliver and implement the programme with fidelity to the evidence-based model To deliver other group-based Lifestart programmes To comply with Lifestart regulations, guidelines and policies in relation to the Lifestart programme and service delivery To liaise with relevant agencies at a local level
The responsibility of the Family Visitor:

To be committed to the Mission, Ethos and Values of Lifestart To adhere to all statutory and organisational policies and procedures including Safeguarding and Data Protection To maintain confidentiality in relation to the Lifestart Programmes and the home-visiting service To gain a working knowledge and understanding of programme materials and any supporting activities or resources To deliver Lifestart programmes with a high level of competency To seek and record feedback on parent and child developmental outcomes To keep accurate reports and records, as required To undertake relevant training, as required To liaise, network and make presentations on the Lifestart to relevant professionals/agencies, as requested To carry out any other duties set by the employing organisation which do not conflict with maintaining fidelity to the Lifestart model of programme delivery
