Role Overview:

We are seeking a semi-skilled Fan Coil Maintenance Engineer to support the efficient delivery of fan coil maintenance services in office environments, predominantly during night shifts and outside normal working hours. Formal HVAC certifications are not required; instead, we value individuals with the right attitude, a strong willingness to learn, and proven conscientiousness in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned preventative maintenance and basic repairs on fan coil units within office buildings, following clear procedures and safety guidelines.

Conduct visual inspections, replace filters, clean coils, and check controls for correct operation.

Support more complex maintenance activities under supervision, learning new skills on the job.

Work a combination of night and shift patterns to minimize disruption to office operations and ensure maintenance is completed efficiently.

Maintain accurate records of all works carried out, flagging any issues or faults identified during routine checks.

Communicate professionally and courteously with clients and team members at all times.

Comply with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Keep work areas clean and organized, respecting client spaces.

Person Specification:

No formal HVAC qualifications required.

Previous experience in a facilities, building maintenance, or engineering support role is desirable but not essential.

Demonstrable positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Willingness to learn and take instruction from senior engineers.

Conscientious and reliable, with high attention to detail.

Able to work flexible hours, including nights and shift work, as scheduled.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks.

Basic understanding of tools and maintenance processes preferred.

Commitment to safe working practices.

Benefits:

Competitive rate of pay.

Opportunity for on-the-job training and development.

Supportive team environment.

Shift and night work premiums where applicable.

How to Apply:

Please send your CV and a brief cover letter highlighting your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn. We encourage applications from candidates who meet the person specification, even if you do not have direct HVAC experience.

If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all of the requirements below. We're interested in getting to know you and what you bring to the table!
