Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Farms Manager to take responsibility for a large scale farming operation working closely with other team members of this diverse Estate.
This is a hands-on, leadership role for someone who has a strong commercial and organizational capability, combined with a first class knowledge of crop and animal production.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering a profitable high quality operation together with maintaining the wider reputation of the estate, its environment and social responsibilities. You will work to budgets and farm plans and once agreed will implement them with your team.
Key Responsibilities include;
Full responsibility for crop husbandry, production standards and cost control.
Sales and purchasing
Oversee the livestock operation which consist of a suckler beef herd
Produce annual budgets.
Oversight of machinery, buildings and contractors.
Record keeping, compliance with regulatory and assurance requirements.
Management of the state of the art grain storage and drying systems.
To be au fait with all grant opportunities ie SFI, Stewardship schemes etc
The Ideal Candidate
You will be:
An experienced Farm Manager with a strong background in arable and suckler beef production
You must be technically confident and able to think laterally
You must be organized, commercially minded
You are a person who leads by example, sets high standards
Environmentally and socially conscious
