This Farm is seeking a passionate and proactive Farm Manager to lead daily operations at a key Shropshire site. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and is keen to be part of a business that balances heritage with innovation.
The Role
This position will see you responsible for the effective day-to-day running of a busy farm operation, ensuring excellence in productivity, compliance, and team leadership. You'll be working closely with a supportive senior operations team while maintaining a high degree of autonomy on-site.
This role is ideal for someone who brings strong practical experience, natural leadership, and a desire to grow within a business that values tradition, quality, and people.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing and motivating a team of farm operatives and seasonal staff.
Overseeing contractors and coordinating all on-site activity across growing, maintenance, and harvesting operations.
Ensuring compliance with all health & safety practices and environmental regulations.
Maintaining all farm machinery and equipment, including record-keeping and servicing.
Organising stock and chemical control in line with protocols.
Liaising with wider teams across operations, supply, and distribution.
What You'll Bring
Previous experience in commercial farming or large-scale horticultural production (root crops desirable).
Solid understanding of agricultural machinery and farming techniques.
Excellent leadership, team management, and organisational skills.
A proactive, can-do approach with the ability to work in changing conditions.
Basic IT competency (e.g., inputting purchase orders, reporting, scheduling).
A full UK driving licence and willingness to be hands-on outdoors year-round.
Knowledge of compliance standards in farm safety, equipment care, and workforce training.
Who You Are
A self-starter with a positive attitude and a passion for high-quality production.
Someone who values teamwork, loyalty, and adaptability.
Comfortable solving problems and finding practical solutions on the ground.
Committed to continuous improvement-for yourself, your team, and the business.
Trustworthy, reliable, and not afraid to go the extra mile.
Why Apply?
This is more than just a job-it's a chance to be part of a business where people, heritage, and high standards truly matter. You'll be given the trust, autonomy, and training you need to succeed, along with genuine support to grow your career.
