Job Description
We are recruiting for someone to join our friendly hard-working team here at Loch Arthur Farm Shop.
Our Farm Shop sells local produce and organic products as well as food and crafts made here at Loch Arthur. Loch Arthur is a working community with our own farms, creamery, bakery and craft workshops and also provides supported living for adults with learning disabilities.
This is a full-time position and the successful candidate would work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
The starting rate of pay is 12.21 per hour.
Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential, however the ability to cope with the pressures of a busy customer service environment is essential. We especially look for people with a strong interest in food.
Our team includes adults with learning disabilities so we are looking for candidates who demonstrate patience and respect with customers and colleagues.
This position includes the following duties:
Serving customers within the farm shop, including support on the tills, and serving products from the deli counter. Maintaining awareness of fresh and perishable foods - assisting in stocking, sorting, rotating and displaying these products. Maintaining standards of cleanliness, hygiene and quality within and around the shop and storage areas.
