a Part time Farm Shop Assistant for 3 days a week Sundays, Mondays & Wednesdays

Our Farm Shop

is situated right next door to the farm

where it all started and which

produces lamb, pork, beef, potatoes & pumpkins for the farm shop

we are open 7 days a week.

Our Farm Shop Assistants play an important role, as they represent Allington when serving our customers. This comes with a high degree of trust, and so a

strong sense of commitment

and

attention to detail

are essential for this role.

The role:

This is a fully

customer facing

role, serving customers quickly, efficiently and in a friendly manner

Ensuring customers have the best shopping experience

, both in the shop and at the till

Excellent product knowledge in order to

advise and answer customer queries

Replenishing stock

on the shelves (fruit and veg, frozen, chilled, groceries) - this will involve some physical work lifting heavy boxes etc

Caring for stock

(rotation is key) to ensure customers leave with food in perfect condition

Handling deliveries

Keeping the shop

in great shape and

looking its best

at all times

This is

physically

quite a

demanding role

as some of the products are quite heavy to lift and the stock room is quite a distance away from the shop. We do have trollies/sack barrows to move stock, but there is still quite a bit of lifting and carrying involved.

The role would be working

every Sunday & 2 weekdays

each week but there may also be opportunities to do more hours and to cover holidays etc should you wish.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-12.75 per hour
