Farm Shop General Sales Assistant

Location:

Newhall Farm Shop (Chepstow Garden Centre)

Working Pattern: WEEK 1

- Tuesday 9.30am - 5pm, Thursday 10am - 5pm, Friday 9.30am - 5pm

WEEK 2

- Tuesday 9.30am - 5pm, Thursday 10am - 5pm, Friday 9.30am - 5pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm

We are currently looking for an experienced General Sales Assistant, someone with high standards, a good work ethic and a good level of flexibility.

Main Duties/Tasks:

Support your Farm Shop Manager in the day to day running of the Farm Shop. High standard of customer service (the customer is always right). Maintain the department's appearance keeping the shelves and display units stocked to a high standard. Till Cashier Ensure the stock is rotated, and date checked. Record daily temperature checks. Follow all procedures in accordance of the food standard agency. Unload deliveries ensure stock is correctly priced and put out onto the shop floor. Report any shortages and damages to the Supervisor. Store overstocks in the allocated area(s). Make sure that the department is ready for the next day's trading.

Requirements:

Good Food knowledge Retail Experience Good Communicator Team Player, driven by the desire to deliver 100% customer satisfaction Flexible with working hours due to the nature of the business Health and Safety Conscious Health and Hygiene Certificate (preferred but training available) The position will require a lot of heavy lifting.

Salary and Company Benefits

Starting salary exceeds age related minimum wage up to 12.30 per hour 28 days annual leave including paid Bank Holidays, pro-rata basis for part-time employees. Uniform and safety shoes will be provided. Discounted rates on food and drink in our restaurant whilst working. In store staff discount after completing a successful probationary period.
