Company Overview

The Middlewick is a destination at the base of Glastonbury Tor. Set in 16 acres of fields and orchards you will find holiday cottages, glamping, barns and lodges offering accommodation to visitors from all over the world. Set in the rear orchard of the property is the Middlewick Spa with a restaurant as well as quirky shepherds hut treatment huts. The award winning cafe and farm shop is the largest part of the business serving over 200 people a day in its stunning location.

Summary

We are looking for an experienced supervisor to help us in our Cafe and Farm Shop. We have a great team, many who have been with us from our opening in July 2022, and we now need a strong leader to help move us up another notch.

Responsibilities

Managing day to day operations in a busy cafe, overseeing front of house team of servers and barristas. Work with Head Chef to create menus and special events Manage stock level and ordering for Farm Shop and Cafe. Work with owners to implement best practices and procedures Interact with customers and handle complaints. Work with marketing team to create content and promotions Work with the On Site Spa to create a second restaurant space for the company.

Requirements

Experience as a Supervisor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry A Natural Leader who enjoys managing a diverse team. A people person who enjoys interacting with guests and staff alike. Experience in menu development and cost control would be a great to have. A passion to work in a busy hospitality business with an ambition to progress your career Experience working with hospitality booking software An enjoyment of local, sustainable food and wine
