Farm Supervisor
Job Description
W T Shute has a vacancy for a Supervisor on a sow breeding unit near Bodmin/Wadebridge, North Cornwall rearing pigs to 8kg.
The farm is high health and protocols must be maintained, you will be expected to understand and operate the feed, ventilation and slurry systems; checking daily/weekly that all is in order.
The successful applicant must be fully competent and up to date in most aspects of modern pig production, work as part of a team with excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to ensure the smooth running of the farm. Confidentiality is to be maintained at all times.
The successful applicant will be expected to assist the farm to meet agreed production targets.
It is anticipated that you will have farm livestock experience, be numerate and be fully prepared to undertake further training as part of the role. You will be hands-on and support/motivate the existing experienced team.
You are to have no previous animal health and welfare issues/convictions.
