Founded in London in 2010, Glassworks London is an independent and style-obsessed fashion brand passionate about bricks-and-mortar boutiques and streamlined digital shopping. Our design-led stores and website are refreshed weekly with small runs of completely new fashion - meaning a constant feed of exciting new styles to try on, supported by the most dedicated and on-it staff-turned-stylists in the industry. With our recent store expansions and ecommerce platform, we are focused on scaling our retail and online channels - all whilst maintaining a strong design aesthetic, exceptional in-store, and customer focus.

With our growing product lines, we are looking to partner with an experienced sourcing professional to help us identify and secure reliable manufacturing partners in Asia and advise on best practices for production and purchasing.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and well-connected Sourcing Buyer to work with us on a consulting, project-based basis. You will play a key role in helping us find, evaluate, and negotiate with factories and suppliers across Asia. This role is ideal for someone with strong sourcing and purchasing expertise, a robust network of trusted vendors, and experience in negotiating terms, managing samples, and supporting product development.

Work Schedule/Location: This is a flexible, consulting role. Work will be as-needed, project-based, and can be carried out remotely or from our East London office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Research, evaluate, and recommend factories and suppliers across Asia.

Introduce us to trusted, proven vendors and facilitate strong relationships.

Support purchasing decisions by negotiating prices, payment terms, and order conditions.

Assess factory capabilities, production capacity, and compliance with quality standards.

Oversee sample development, approvals, and initial production orders.

Advise on best practices for working with Asian manufacturers, including cultural and communication considerations.

Provide strategic guidance on vendor selection, cost optimization, and production timelines.

Support ongoing vendor management and relationship-building for long-term supply reliability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience as a Buyer and/or Sourcing Specialist, ideally with factories in Asia (China, Vietnam, India, etc.).

Strong network of reliable supplier contacts.

Negotiation and purchasing skills, with understanding of MOQs, production timelines, and cost management.

Knowledge of product development processes and manufacturing standards.

Excellent communication skills in English (additional Asian languages a plus).

Highly organised, proactive, and trustworthy.

Ability to work independently on a consulting/project basis and provide actionable guidance.
