Our Network Management Hub team has a fantastic opportunity for a Fault Management Technician to join them in Manchester.
Our role
As a Fault Management Technician you will be part of the team responsible for advancing our LV restoration performance.
You will support the dispatch team and field staff with real-time fault analysis, restoration strategy and post restoration reporting of LV Fault's, including:

  • Carrying out live updates of interruptions and potential hazards to the distribution network and co-ordinating the repairs and subsequent reporting of these activities;
  • Updating the SP Electricity North West 'Network Management System' Diagram known as 'dressing' using feedback from operational field staff.
What we're looking for
  • A good understanding of symbology standards and network connectivity within electricity distribution;
  • Proven experience in fault location and repair;
  • A good understanding of the fault processes within Operations;
  • A sound knowledge of LV network operation and of the LV fault restoration process;
  • Appropriate substation access authorisation;
  • LV authorisation and authorised to access the LV / HV Telecontrol System (desirable).
