Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and enjoy a memorable dining experience. You will assist in various aspects of food and beverage service, contributing to the overall hospitality of our establishment.

Duties

Support the smooth running of the F&B department where all aspects of the guest food and beverage service experience are delivered to the highest levels Seat guests, take orders, pour and serve drinks, deliver food and taking payments Operating tills and cash handling in accordance with company procedures and practices Assist in the set up and clear down of weddings and events Being aware of procedures and protocols for the specific area you will be working in Delivering outstanding customer service to all our guests in a courteous and professional manner Carrying out opening and closing procedures Carrying out cleaning duties Ensuring all equipment and appliances are maintained and cleaned to standard, reporting breakages immediately Follow company waste procedures Swift action of hazards making sure you report any anomalies to line manager Assist in rotation of stock Assist in the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide attentive and friendly service to guests, taking orders and delivering food and drinks promptly. Support bartending staff by preparing drinks, garnishing cocktails, and maintaining cleanliness at the bar area. Help with catering events by setting up dining areas, serving food, and clearing tables efficiently. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food preparation. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including regular cleaning of equipment and dining areas. Engage with guests to enhance their experience, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Experience

Have a hands-on approach with a can-do attitude Be able to work in a fast passed environment as part of a team and use own initiative Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Familiarity with food safety practices is advantageous. Experience in bartending or catering is a plus for those looking to expand their skill set. A passion for providing excellent customer service and a willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 7.55-12.80 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 35 per week
