Rooted in ancient farmland in the foothills of Dartmoor, Fowlescombe Farm is a sophisticated agritourismo style escape nestled in a hidden valley. Opening in Spring 2025, our 10 spacious suites enjoy expansive views, generous living spaces and most have private outside spaces. Each has a very distinct character, but all feature the highest standards of contemporary design, combined with the warmth and comforts of home.

We are seeking an F&B Assistant to join our team.

The F&B Assistant role is to:



Help the team to prepare the Refectory front and back of house in preparation for service.

Understand and memorise the menu offerings each day and be able to speak knowledgeably about the dishes to guests.

To understand and respond to guest needs and requests in a timely manner always keeping in mind our standards of quality and consistency.

Be competent in pouring and creating drinks for guests as and when requested.

Be competent in providing recommendations on wine pairings and drink suggestions for guests.

Providing a courteous and friendly service to all guests and follow procedures for handling any guest complaints.

Working collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth running of the service period.

You will take ownership of your area and work closely with the Host Manager to ensure that we maintain our standards of quality and consistency.

To help prepare picnic equipment as and when needed and to ensure that all items are collected in a timely way and stored appropriately.

Understand and consistently comply with our quality standards and front of house rules, policies and procedures.

Maintain cleanliness standard for front and back of house and storage areas.

Follow opening and closing checklist for refectory and bar.

Follow all HACCP guidelines stipulated in our SSOW/SOP to ensure safe food service.

To comply with the grooming standards of the company and maintain your uniform to ensure that you always look professional and prepared.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Host Manager or manager-on-duty.

To report any hazardous conditions to your line manager or duty manager.

Industry trained in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety

Full Driving license
