At Aston Martin, every system we design shapes the way our cars feel, respond, and perform. Our Systems Engineering team is at the heart of this, defining how features come to life and guiding them from concept through to delivery.
We are now looking for a Feature Architect - Chassis to join us, specialising in braking systems, suspension systems and aerodynamics.
If you're passionate about turning ideas into reality through Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), this is an opportunity to influence the future behaviour of some of the world's most iconic cars.
What You'll Be Doing
Translating bold ideas into feature specifications and system requirements.
Using MBSE tools (Polarion, Capella, Siemens modelling) to design logical, functional and system architectures.
Defining system requirements and ensuring feature compliance with SOTIF (ISO21448) and Cyber Security (UNECE R155).
Collaborating with cross-functional teams - from vehicle engineering and production to suppliers and test engineers - to make sure features integrate seamlessly.
Tackling complex issues head-on, guiding resolution and keeping projects on track.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for engineers with a strong foundation in automotive or embedded systems, ideally supported by a degree in Electrical, Automotive or Systems Engineering. You'll already be confident with MBSE methodology and the automotive V-cycle, and you'll have an instinct for translating stakeholder requirements into system architectures that work in practice.
A working knowledge of network protocols such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet and Wi-Fi, along with diagnostic standards like UDS/ODX, will be essential. Familiarity with requirements capture tools such as Polarion or DOORS and CAN tools such as Vector and CAPL scripting will also be key.
More than anything, you'll bring an analytical mindset and the ability to balance detailed focus with a clear view of the bigger picture. Experience with AUTOSAR, E2E communication protection, or cross-domain work would be an advantage - but curiosity, resilience, and the drive to deliver are what matter most.
Why These Role?
This is your chance to shape the future of Aston Martin systems at a time when our cars are becoming more intelligent and more connected than ever before. Within a small, high-impact team, your decisions will have a visible effect on the final product. You'll enjoy the challenge of solving complex engineering problems while seeing your work make its way into production. Along the way, you'll gain exposure to cutting-edge projects, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and know that the features you design today will define the driving experience for years to come.
The Type of Person Who Thrives Here
Success in this role comes from being curious, resilient and self-driven. You'll enjoy tackling complex challenges, making clear and confident decisions, and working with colleagues across multiple disciplines. Strong communication and collaboration skills will enable you to bring others with you on the journey.
If you're a systems thinker, a modeller, and someone who wants to see ideas take shape on the road - we'd love to hear from you.
