, you will be responsible for the daily feeding of cows across the farm. You'll work closely with the herd and nutrition teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of rations using modern machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain feeder wagons and associated equipment
Mix and deliver Total Mixed Ration (TMR) accurately according to feed sheets
Monitor feed intake and adjust loads as needed
Maintain cleanliness and biosecurity standards in feed areas
Conduct routine maintenance and basic servicing on machinery
Keep accurate feed and maintenance records
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience operating a feeder wagon (or similar agricultural machinery)
Basic mechanical skills and a good eye for machine upkeep
Understanding of dairy cow nutrition and TMR feeding (training can be provided)
Strong attention to detail and time management
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible and willing to work weekends on a rota
Desirable:
Forklift or telehandler ticket
Tractor driving experience
Experience on large dairy farms
