This is a permanent, part-time role as a Female Brain Injury Support Worker / Care Assistant, supporting a young, sociable woman living with a brain injury in Crewe. The successful candidate will be part of a compassionate 2:1 complex care team, providing personal care, mobility support, tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, seizure monitoring, and promoting independence and social engagement. Candidates should have experience with brain injuries or complex care, desirable skills in PEG feeding, tracheostomy care, and seizure support, and a full UK driving license.
Main duties of the job
The Female Brain Injury Support Worker will be responsible for providing compassionate and person-centred care to a young woman living with a brain injury. Key duties include personal care and mobility support, tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, seizure monitoring, supporting daily routines and night-time care, and promoting independence and social engagement. The successful candidate will be part of a 2:1 complex care team and work a mix of day and night shifts.
