Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in their own home. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between locations.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort. Follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Drive to various locations as required for home visits or appointments (driving licence preferred). Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between care locations.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 37.5 per week
