Job Overview


We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their wellbeing. Previous experience in senior care, dementia care, or hospice care is highly desirable. Duties



Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming Support with medication administration in accordance with care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Help clients with mobility and assist with heavy lifting when necessary Implement behaviour management strategies and support clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update care plans regularly Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly Assist with case management tasks to ensure comprehensive client support

Skills



Valid first aid certification and experience in medical emergency response Proven experience working in nursing homes, care homes, or home care environments Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices Ability to administer medication safely and understand medical terminology Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanour Ability to manage behaviour effectively and implement personalised care plans Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility needs Organised approach to documentation and case management tasks Driving licence preferred for transportation duties but not essential for all roles
