Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to a disabled lady within her own home. This is a rewarding and meaningful role, ideal for someone who is dependable, reliable and happy to work as part of a family setting. A background in care, could be beneficial, but is not essential as the ideal applicant must be prepared to undergo training, as required by the client. They will also be responsible for ensuring the well-being and comfort of the individual requiring assistance to support the family unit as the client has 2 teenagers. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, empathetic, and has a genuine desire to help others. Must also be pet friendly as client has pets. An enhanced DBS check is desirable, however will be provided by employer if one is not available.

Duties



Provide personal care services, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Prepare meals for the client and children. Offer companionship and engage client in meaningful conversations and activities as appropriate. Will be responsible for all household tasks including cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping etc. Accompany client to appointments or social engagements as and when required. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to relevant parties. Support families by providing respite care when needed.

Experience



Previous experience in a private residential setting is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with first aid practices and medication administration is advantageous. Experience in home care settings will be considered an asset. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
There is currently 1 part time position available, with a minimum of 22 hours per week, worked over a 2 week rolling rota, which runs from Saturday to Friday.

Days and times are shown below but could be subject to changes to meet client's needs.

Week 1 Tuesday 10am - 8pm & Friday 10am - 10pm

Week 2 Sunday 10 am - 8pm & Friday 10am - 10pm

The ideal applicant must also be available to work extra hours as and when required to help cover holiday leave and sickness etc. This is of paramount importance and will be a condition of employment contract.

We are looking for a motivated, caring, trustworthy and flexible individual who is comfortable with working alone and taking initiative. Experience in care (although desirable) is not essential - the right attitude and reliability is most important.
