Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in their home, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with other staff members to deliver exceptional support.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong command of English for effective communication with residents and team members. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is preferred. A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment is essential.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
