This role requires someone highly dependable, calm, and clinically aware, with strict attention to hygiene and routine. You'll be working in a quiet, structured environment and must follow detailed care plans and protocols without deviation.
What You'll Do:
Deliver consistent, respectful personal care
Assist with right-side mobility using aids like stairlift, ETAC chair, and commodes
Prepare soft, allergy-safe meals and ensure hydration (4-6L/day)
Prompt medications and administer supplements
Apply compression garments and assist with bathing, hair washing (max twice weekly), and dressing
Use approved equipment (e.g. Polti steam cleaner) and follow strict hygiene protocols
Perform essential cleaning and domestic tasks
including:
Laundry
Dishwashing
Dust-mite control
General cleaning to maintain an allergen-free space
Maintain clear documentation of care, hydration, bowel movements, and incidents
Stay alert to early signs of medical emergencies, including anaphylaxis
Work quietly and with minimal interaction during low-stimulation periods ('crashes')
You Must Have:
Minimum 1 year of paid care experience (complex care preferred)
Strong spoken and written English
Full understanding of infection control and correct PPE usage
Physically fit to assist with mobility and domestic duties
Strictly

latex gloves
Comfortable preparing soft, allergen-safe meals and managing hydration
Able to document clearly and follow routines exactly
Comfortable working in silence when required
Desirable (But Not Essential):
Experience with ME/CFS, PoTS, or PEG allergy care
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
Background in low-stimulation or trauma-informed care environments
