We are seeking compassionate and dedicated highly experienced Domiciliary /home care Worker to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in need of assistance. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, this role is within their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing quality care and a genuine passion for helping others.
This is in the North Area of Blackburn, Rishton, Brownhill, Little Harwood. 15 Hours per week.
Times : The days are Monday -Friday and the hours would be starting at 8.30am until 9am, then lunchtime 12.30-2.30pm, then teatimes 4pm-6pm, Bedtimes 8pm-9pm . Ideal for those seeking school friendly hours.
Duties
Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in their condition.
Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary.
Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Document care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in caregiving or a related field such as senior care, hospice care, or Alzheimer's care is preferred.
Knowledge of dementia care practices is advantageous.
Certification in first aid is desirable but training can be given
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
A valid driving license is preferred for roles requiring transportation of clients.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed.
