Dohatech are a CQC registered domiciliary care provider supporting people, with various health and social needs, in their own homes across Wiltshire and Hampshire.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated

female healthcare assistant

with hands-on experience in supporting individuals with

seizures and epilepsy

. The successful candidate will provide high-quality personal care and assistance, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients in both routine and emergency situations.

Candidates should be willing to travel as part of the role hence being a driver is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support to patients with epilepsy, including monitoring, assistance during seizures, and post-seizure care. Administer prescribed medications and document all care activities accurately. Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support. Recognize early signs of seizures and respond promptly and appropriately. Collaborate with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Offer emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families. Maintain hygiene, safety, and infection control standards at all times. Participate in training sessions and stay updated on epilepsy care best practices.

Requirements

Gender:

Female (required for patient comfort and care needs). Proven experience as a healthcare assistant or caregiver specifically supporting individuals with

epilepsy and seizure management

. Knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures for seizures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond effectively in urgent situations. Empathetic, patient-focused, and physically capable of assisting with mobility needs. Relevant certifications or healthcare qualifications are an advantage.
