Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Caregiver to provide bespoke essential support to an individual in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our client by offering personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills to provide high-quality care in a home setting.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist client with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Support client with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with case management tasks as needed, coordinating with healthcare professionals and family members. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while providing care. Flexibly provide support during the day or night as required on a 4 week rota.

Qualifications

Previous experience in senior care, assisted living, or hospice care is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic first aid practices is an asset. Ability to administer medication accurately and responsibly. Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards client. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A valid driving licence is mandatory as situated in a rural location. Willingness to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process. Work well within a small team. Flexibly provide support during the day or night as per a 4 week rota. Night Shift runs from 8pm through till 10am and include a 4 hour sleep period. Day shifts are 10am through till 8pm.
